Opening 3rd Eye Exercises (开眼)

In my opinion, there is only one standard method to open a person’s 3^rd eye properly and safely. This method is through meditation; although there are many supplementary exercises to enhance the opening of 3^rd eye.

 

A faster way to see spiritual world is through a spirit that possess the person. That is to say that the person sees through the eyes of another spirit that resides in his/her body. This is a faster way of seeing spiritual world but the spirit may deceive its host by only letting what it wanted the person to see. Seeing through a spirit helper or ‘khodam’ if you like to call it is not recommended as it will give us a false impression of what we see. This spirit may hamper the host to achieve higher spiritual level.

 

As a matter of fact, people who think they see spirits mean that these folks already possessed by those spirits and it is these spirits that allow the hosts to perceive them.

 

There is no shortcut to open one’s 3^rd eye as it boils down to hard work and a pure heart. Contrary to common belief, anyone can perform the opening up of his/her 3^rd eye if he/she is persistent enough. For the inspired, I list down the below preconditions according to my experience:

 

·         One must be persistent as it may take somewhere between 3 months to 6 months to see the light.

·         One must be honest to him/herself as what one sees is what one gets.

·         Please do not add in any subconscious suggestions such as “I think I see white light…”

·         Please do not add any mental visualizations, if there is none, then there is none and continue with the meditation until one really sees something.

·         There is no need to recite mantra during the meditation but the person should stay vigilant of his/her surroundings.

·         Always perform the meditation in a safe place: safety first.

 

I have to reiterate that the traditional method of opening up one’s 3^rd eye is pretty mechanical and it does not involve spirits or is there a need to recite mantras. The only requirement is perseverance.

 

The main practice: Meditation

 

The meditation method to open up one’s 3^rd eye is simple: the person only needs to concentrate on a point between his/her brows or at a point about 3 inches above his/her head.

 

The trick to this meditation is just to look at the point with mind’s eye and relax, after a while one should see a dot of white light and the light may become as big as a ping pong ball. It takes somewhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to reach this stage but one should not create the image of the light. If there is none, then there is none; just let it be.

 

The supplemental practices

 

1.      Kundalini arising

a.       Visualize white Kundalini arises from the base chakra and then moves towards the crown chakra. At the crown chakra, white light fills the head and then this light is channelled to the 3^rd eye area and then making a clockwise movement. At the same time, one should intone the sound: “Innnn….” Until the air is exhausted.

b.      For a beginner, this exercise should not exceed 10 minutes.

c.       After the exercise, continue to meditate at the 3^rd eye area.

2.      Cupping of eyes

a.       After each of the Tenaga Dalam, Chi Gong or Reiki exercises and while one’s palms are still warm, then quickly go to a dark spot and cups one’s eyes with palms. At this point one would see lights of different colours. Now, move these lights to one’s 3^rd eye area and gradually the lights would form a spot.

3.      Rain water method

a.       Collect some rain water and anoint the 3^rd eye area 49 times before meditaion.

4.      The candle method

a.       First one should light one candle and then blindfolds him/herself.

b.      Now, try to see the candle light through the blind.

c.       When one can ‘see’ the candle light, the thickness of the blind should be increased until no light can be seen.

d.      This exercise should be repeated until the light is again seen.

 

Testing of 3^rd Eye

 

·         After one month or so, one can test the 3^rd eye by first reading a deck of poker, and gradually see through obstacles.

·         These exercises should be repeated diligently, honestly and faithfully until correct result is achieved.

 

Limitations of 3^rd Eye

 

·         The accuracy of one’s reading depends on the person’s mental and physical health.

·         One should not use the 3^rd eye for reading 3 consecutive matters at the beginning or the accuracy would drop.

·         For some reasons, if the 3^rd eye is used for gambling reasons, the 3^rd eye would lose its accuracy.

Finally, let me iterate that there is no need to receive empowerment to open one’s 3^rd eye. Keris used to be weapons of old days. Today, a keris has become a collector’s item. Well, there are people collect keris as antique; but many people collect keris due to their magical properties too. There are stories told if a keris is used to point at a person, old Malay believed that by this mere act, the person can be killed. Along the same line, some Malays believe of a form of magic called ‘ilmu tuju’ which coupled with appropriate incantations, pointing of a finger, keris or human bone to a person can bring bad luck or kill the person.

 

A keris pusaka or heirloom keris can be used to stab onto the footprints of a person can also bring disaster or even death to a person. Some old keris are said to possess a watcher or khodam if someone like to call it. These types of keris are said to be thirst of blood and they will fly out from their sheaths during certain nights of the week, normally on Thursday or Friday night to kill people and after they are quenched with blood; they shall return quietly into the sheaths.

 

It is believed that a keris in the collection of Taiping Museum has this capability. There is another heirloom keris in Kraton was said to be particularly bad tempered and it was ordered by the ruler to have it destroyed.

 

Some people also believe that a keris pusaka can rattle in its sheath if its owner are facing with danger hence alerting its owner. Another type of keris known as keris majapahit has dual identity: a male and a female; it can also be used to transfer flames from a place to another place as well as performing the ilmu tuju.

 

In Java, guts or brains of snakes are brought into contact with the keris in the hope to make the keris more deathly. The power of a keris pusaka is said to increase upon slaying of a person too. An execution keris that has been used to kill many people is considered as scared.

 

Many people keep a keris in their house because they think the keris can trap a thief so that the thief cannot leave the place, the keris can also make firearms fail to work, in some instances even flood waters can be held back or even volcano flows.

 

Some Javanese empu (blacksmith) even pointed out that his keris will fly out of their sheaths during the full moon when the Queen of the South Sea holds her court at seashore.

 

Having said so, either it is lucky or unlucky that it is not easy to make or come by a magical keris. Believers believe it is only by the will of the God that one can own one of these treasures. In short, only a virtuous man/woman can get a piece by chance. If a keris does not fit a person, then everything in his/her life shall go wrong.

 

Whatever case that might be, the cult of keris is still very much alive in Malay Archipelagos until today.

·         In practice, one should lie down in his/her bed face up calmly and with eyes closed while reciting the above mantra 3 times. After that he/she should recite ‘Allah’ continuously until he/she feels sleepy and his/her body felt light as if being blown by wind.

·         At this stage he/she can open his/her eyes and ‘walk’ astral through the wall.

 

Method 2:

 

·         One should perform this ritual for 3 consecutive days. He/she should recite the Inti Nur Karomah Keys 1 time (The one and the only core supernatural power spell) and then the following prayer once:

ALLOHUMMA ROBBANA ATHIINA FID DUNYA HASANAH

WA FIL AAKHIROOTI HASANATAN WA QINA ADZA BANNAR

·         Now, one should perform for a boundary protection with his/her own Tenaga Dalam and then recite: Yaa Qoyyum for a minimum of 333 times with one’s eyes closed. This exercise should be performed after each of the 5 compulsory prayers.

·         After 3 days, then he/she can do preparation to travel out of body. Before the exercise, one should recite the key once and the above prayer once and then followed by Yaa Qoyyum as above.

·         The method is that one should lie down on a not too soft bed or on floor. One can begin by concentrate onto one spot on the ceiling and recite: Yaa Qoyyuuuuuuum repeatedly and imagine that the sound came out from one’s brows and fills the entire room. At this point, one should try to increase the tone of his recitation and imagine that the echo concentrated at one’s brows. When one feels that he can no longer hold this echo, then he should release the echo towards the ceiling.

·         After some exercises, one should be able to feel that he/she is actually floating at the ceiling. At this point, he/she can open his/her eyes and survey the room. If he/she now sees another he/she is lying in the bed. Then this person has successfully performed the Astral Travel.

This practice is useful in enabling a practitioner to see spiritual world from a far and also to see the power hidden within an item, heirloom or talisman. He/she should recite the below ayat after the compulsory prayers for 1 week continuously:

After performing solat sunnah hajat for 2 rakat after midnight night, then recite ayat 1 above for 21x and ayat 2 for 1000x every night for 1 week as mentioned above.

 

During the night practice, one should close his/her eyes and concentrate at the place between his/her eye brows; i.e. the 3^rd eye area.

 

Practicising To ‘Terawangan’ (See):

 

After one has completed the absorption of this ilmu, then he/she is ready to practise ‘seeing’. The best time is during the midnight, or after the solat maghrib or at dawn. One must find a quite place and in the dark; it is best if the place is a known haunted place.

 

After this person has cleaned him/herself, then please sit facing kiblat and close one’s eyes. It is best if one can burn some incense such as that of Benzoin.

 

One should breathe normally with long and long breathe where the inhale and exhale should be at the same pace.

 

After one has focus in between the 3^rd eye area, recite the intention:

 

“Oh, God, bestow thy servant the ability to see with my psychic eye things that cannot be seen with my naked eyes.”

 

Now recite ayat 1 and ayat 2 above for 21x each.

 

One should perceive the environment with calm and ease. He/she should observe if he/she can observe s dot of light at the 3^rd eye area. When the light spot is present, then one should turn his/her attention towards the light source.

 

After that, stare with paced breathing and find an object that one wanted to see while reciting the prayer: “Laa ilaaha illallaah” repeatedly.

 

It would be a norm that the light dot becomes bigger as time passes.

 

Please remember to use one’s psychic eye so his/her psychical eyes should still be shut so as not to be influenced by the environment.

 

When the picture is still not yet clear from the psychic viewing, then repeat the above exercise at the following nights. It is only by continuous tuning of one’s psychic eye that one could clean and hence sharpen his/her psychic eye.

 

In short, one should be diligent and have patience in this exercise.
